Published: 6/30/2025

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has commenced the much anticipated verification exercise for successful participants of the Skilled-Up Artisans (SUPA) programme at Alkali Hussaini Foundation. This marks a critical phase in the Federal Government’s drive to empower Nigerian youth with market-ready vocational skills.
The SUPA programme is a flagship initiative of ITF under its National Skills Development Strategy, it is focused on equipping artisans with globally competitive skills in areas such as Electrical installation, Plumbing, Tailoring, Welding, ICT, and Agriculture. The verification process is aimed at authenticating the credentials of shortlisted beneficiaries and also confirming their active participation in the 2-month Training.
At the Alkali Hussaini Foundation, one of the accredited SUPA training centers, dozens of participants have completed months of intensive hands-on training. Through the SUPA programme, ITF is not only closing the skill gap in Nigeria but also fostering a new generation of self-reliant and highly skilled artisans ready to contribute to national development.
Prospective beneficiaries are encouraged to come with valid means of identification, credentials, and any other required documentation during the verification period.
