Closing Ceremony of SASES 2026 Kebbi at Alkali Hussaini Foundation

The final day of the SASES (Salvaging Science Education in Our Schools) Programme concluded on a successful note, highlighting critical educational interventions and collaboration between government and private stakeholders. The event featured the participation of the TY Danjuma Foundation, represented by Mr. Aliyu Hussaini, alongside the Executive Secretary of SUBEB for Kebbi State, Deputy Director of Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education, Kebbi State, principals, and other key education stakeholders.

In his remarks, Mr. Ibrahim Hussaini Executive Director, AHF, emphasized the urgent need for increased investment in education across Kebbi State. He highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships between government and private organizations in strengthening science education and improving learning outcomes in schools. He also reiterated the commitment of the TY Danjuma Foundation to supporting initiatives that improve access to quality education and learning resources for students.

The Kebbi State Education Secretary SUBEB commended the SASES initiative and affirmed the government’s continued commitment to improving the education sector. He highlighted ongoing efforts and reforms aimed at strengthening infrastructure, teacher development, and curriculum delivery across the state. He also welcomed the collaboration with the TY Danjuma Foundation and Alkali Hussaini Foundation as a valuable contribution to the advancement of education in Kebbi State.

A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the presentation of certificates to 60 Master Trainers who successfully completed the SASES Programme. The educators underwent intensive training designed to strengthen science teaching methodologies, enhance practical learning, and improve student engagement in public schools across Kebbi State.

The SASES Programme is funded by the TY Danjuma Foundation and implemented by the Alkali Hussaini Foundation, with the goal of strengthening science education and building the capacity of teachers to deliver effective and impactful science instruction in Nigerian schools.
