Day Four of SASES Training Empowers Master Trainers in Physics and Chemistry Education
The fourth day of the ongoing SASES Training of Master Trainers marked another important milestone in strengthening science education across schools. Under the Salvaging Science Education in our Schools (SASES) Programme, Master Trainers participated in intensive sessions focused on Physics and Chemistry, further enhancing their capacity to deliver quality science instruction at the grassroots level.
To ensure focused learning and in-depth engagement, the participants were divided into two groups, with each group attending dedicated classes in either Physics or Chemistry. The day's sessions combined theoretical instruction with hands-on teaching approaches, interactive problem-solving activities, and practical laboratory techniques aimed at deepening subject knowledge while improving classroom pedagogy.
The Salvaging Science Education in our Schools (SASES) Programme is an initiative dedicated to revitalizing science education in Nigerian schools. It is sponsored by the TY Danjuma Foundation and implemented by the Alkali Hussaini Foundation.
As the training progresses, the SASES Programme continues to equip Master Trainers not only with strong subject knowledge in Physics and Chemistry but also with innovative teaching strategies that will inspire and prepare the next generation of scientists.
