The Alkali Hussaini Foundation has officially kick-started a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme in Hospitality under the Federal Ministry of Education, the training is aimed at equipping young people with practical, job-ready skills for the fast-growing service industry.
The hospitality training is designed to combine classroom instruction with hands-on practical sessions. Trainees are being introduced to key areas such as hotel operations, customer service, food and beverage service, housekeeping standards, workplace hygiene, and professional conduct.
By focusing on practical learning, the programme prepares participants for immediate employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, event centres, and related businesses. The program also encourages self-employment by providing trainees with the confidence and foundational knowledge needed to start small-scale hospitality ventures.
Speaking on the programme, the Executive Director of the Foundation reaffirmed its mission to reduce unemployment by bridging the skills gap among youths.
