Day 2 of 2025 SASES Programme

Day 2 of the SASES Programme marked another milestone in advancing quality education delivery through targeted teacher training. The session, held as part of the 2025 training series, brought together 60 Master Trainers from different Subjects, all committed to reshaping how education is delivered at the grassroots level. Funded by the TY Danjuma Foundation through a grant to the Alkali Hussaini Foundation, this initiative aims to build capacity and create a ripple effect of educational excellence across communities. Today's focus was on the methodology of teaching a core component for any successful educator. Participants were introduced to modern, learner-centered approaches to instruction that emphasize active learning, student engagement, and practical application. Through an interactive and dynamic format, trainers were equipped with tools to better plan and deliver impactful lessons. To foster hands-on learning and collaboration, the class was divided into six groups. Each group was assigned the task of developing both a lesson plan and a curriculum outline, which encourages critical thinking, and alignment with educational goals. These group activities allowed participants to use different instructional strategies and learn from one another. Group leaders took the stage to present their projects, receiving constructive feedback from facilitators and peers. These presentations showcased a range of ideas, highlighting the unique perspectives and experiences each group brought to the table.
