Alkali Hussaini has officially commenced the IDEAS/TVET training programme on hospitality today, marking an important step toward skills development and youth empowerment within the community. The programme is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, one of the fastest-growing sectors with vast employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The training brings together enthusiastic trainees who are eager to learn modern hospitality practices, including customer service, hotel operations, catering, food hygiene, and basic management skills. From the very first day, participants were introduced to the objectives of the programme and the importance of professionalism, discipline, and teamwork in the hospitality sector. Facilitators emphasized that the training is not only about acquiring technical skills but also about building the right attitude required to succeed in a service-oriented industry.

Speaking at the commencement of the programme, the Executive Director Alkali Hussaini Foundation highlighted that the IDEAS/TVET initiative is aimed at reducing unemployment by empowering individuals with market-relevant skills. The hospitality training, in particular, was carefully selected due to its potential to create jobs, support small businesses, and enhance service standards in hotels, restaurants, and event management enterprises.

Alkali Hussaini’s commitment to supporting this initiative reflects a broader vision of human capital development and economic growth. By investing in vocational and technical education, the programme seeks to bridge the gap between education and employment, enabling trainees to become self-reliant and competitive in the labor market.

Participants expressed excitement and optimism about the opportunity, noting that the training could open doors to new careers and business ventures. As the programme progresses, trainees are expected to undergo practical sessions and assessments that will prepare them for real-world challenges.
